Bobcats Pull Out 3-2 Win for NCAA Hockey Championship

Saturday, April 8th, The Quinnipiac Bobcats played the Minnesota Golden Gophers for the NCAA men’s hockey championship @ 8pm. In the first period the Golden Gophers came out early and to the 1-0 lead headed into the second. Minnesota came to play scoring 2 unanswered goals the Bobcats did not come this far to lose though and finally scored a goal of their own headed into the 3rd 2-1 Minnesota. In the 3rd the Bobcats owned the ice holding the Gophers scoreless forcing the game into overtime with a game tying score 2-2. In the final frame the Bobcats pulled out the win ending the game 3-2 in the Bobcats favor. Some of the leaders of the game were the Gophers (Center) Zack Mesta with 2 assists and for the Bobcats Jacob Quillian with 3 goals.
