The movie I reviewed was The Guardian. It came out in 2006 on September 29. The film was made in Alaska and loosely based on a true story. The movie is 2 hours 19 mins long. It is PG-13 and some of the more known names are Kevin Costner, Ashton Kutcher, and John Heard.
A Coast Guard rescue swimmer (Kevin Costner), who still mourns losing his crew in a fatal accident, copes by dedicating his life to training new recruits, so when he meets swimming champion Jake Fischer (Ashton Kutcher), he molds the cocky young man into his protege and takes him on a mission in the dangerous waters of the Bering Strait.
The Guardian got 37% rotten tomatoes and is about 6.9/10 IMDb. The reason the rating is so low is that the CGI needed to be better and how the storyline would confuse people. But, in my opinion, the movie is about 8.8/10. The ending could have been better but I would recommend that movie. I would put more of the true story in the movie. It would give the film a better ground so the storyline would be easier to understand and follow.
You should watch this movie because the adventure and romance in it will probably make most girls and some men cry because of what happens and how he gets the girl. This movie contains some of the best actors around, and some of these actors are very famous for their acting.
