Attention Seniors:  Mrs. Horak needs suggestions for Class Motto, Class Flower, Class Colors and Class Song.  Please get those into her by Tuesday, October 14th.

NHS members: A great opportunity for earning community service hours is available for you immediately.  The head wrestling coach here at the high school is looking for 2 students to serve as mat stats for the upcoming season.  Your primary tasks would include keeping the score book and video taping the meets.  Knowledge of the sport is not necessary.  If you are interested in this opportunity, please see Mrs. Laurencelle right away.

There will be a brief sign up meeting for ALL high school girls between lunches on Tuesday, October 14th between lunches in the Auditorium. Any player wishing to tryout for girls basketball should attend this meeting. If you cannot attend the meeting, you will need to contact Coach Cunningham on your own.

Applications for free or reduced lunches are due today. Check with Mrs. Pardee if you have any questions.

The marching band will be performing at their festival on Monday at 7:30 P.M. They will be at Willman Field in Owosso.

Quiz Bowl will meet in Mrs. Keck’s room at 7:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 14.

Model UN members: we have our dates. Please meet in Mrs. Keck’s room at 7:45 A.M. on Tuesday, October 14.

Mrs. Weber has re-opened the window to apply to be a member of this year’s Snow Sculpting Team. Applications are only available until 3 P.M. today. Pick them up in the art room. Any student comfortable building or creating in three dimensions is encouraged to apply!

There will be no open shooting in the gym today after school.

Attention junior and senior girls that played in the powderpuff game: please turn in your jersey to Mrs. Russell.

Seniors: if you need to work on your college application or scholarships you may use the Information Center during your lunch to do so.

Freshman and juniors: please pay your class dues this week to a class officer during both first and second lunches Monday-Friday. Dues are $7 if paid on time. They are $9 if they are paid after the deadline. Juniors, also remember that all of your years of class dues must be up-to-date if you want to attend prom.

Any junior that is interested in signing up to take the PSAT test please sign up in Student Services. The PSAT is the pre-SAT test. This test will be given on Wednesday, October 15.

The varsity volleyball team lost to Freeland last night 25-13, 25-18, 25-16. Megan Walter had 2 blocks and 7 kills. Brittany Moore had 7 digs and Shaye Lintemuth 6 assists.
