The Boys and Girls Track & Field teams defeated Hemlock last night. The girls won 70- 53, while the boys hammered them 92-45. Winning first place for the boys were Dylan Kernohan in the 110 and 300 Hurdles, Kenny Ordway in the High Jump and 100, Alex Garber in the Long Jump and 200 and Gage Cleveland in the 3200. The relay teams that were first place were the 3200 Relay of Philip Olafsen, Liam Leveck, Carson Vincent and Josh Peckens, the 800 Relay of Alex Wakefield, Isaiah Medina, Jack Price and Garber, the 400 Relay of Kernohan, Wakefield, Dylan Dysinger and Ordway and the 1600 Relay of Medina, Olafsen, Vincent and Garber.

The girls were led by first places from Hannah Sovis in the Long Jump, 100 and 200, Alex love in the 3200 and Pilar Sanchez-Alborno in the 100 and 300 hurdles. The relay teams that won were the 3200 Relay of Love, Gabi Cleveland, Karrisa Seagers and Clare Sheedlo, the 800 Relay of Emily Dilts, Kylie Hint, Natalie DeLong and Katelyn Kalocy and the 400 Relay of Sanchez-Alborno, Hunt, Gabbi Dorn and Sovis.

The end of the year FFA BBQ is next week Wednesday at 6:00 PM in the Ag Room. Stop down to Ms. Hoffman’s room to sign up so we have enough food for everyone. Also, don’t forget that your yellow forms were due May 6th! They will be accepted until the end of the school day TODAY! AND….if you are interested in going to MI Adventure on June 8th, get your money in to Ms. Hoffman ASAP to hold your spot on the bus. The cost is $30/person.

Seniors- Reminder that Wednesday, May 13th at 12:30 pm is the Senior Tea/Awards Program. Any senior that would like to showcase any of their artwork from GIE/Woods or Art classes can have it displayed in the Community Room. You can drop it off anytime after 8:00 am on May 13th. If you have also received a scholarship from your college and would like us to announce it, please get that certificate down to Student Services.

Just a reminder all library materials including MelCat materials are due in the IC no later than May 15th.

Ms. Hoffman’s Fisheries and Wildlife class will be offered next year, but was not on the class choices form. If you are someone that is interested in taking this course and have met the per-requisites, please stop down to Ms. Hoffman or student services. Remember, if you are going to attend MSU and have taken all of OE’s Agriscience classes, there is an opportunity to earn 6 MSU credits for FREE!!

Class of 2018…freshman that is YOU…..your fundraiser forms and money is due back NEXT Wednesday May 13th. You can turn forms into the HS office or to Ms. Hoffman. Remember that the more people that sell will affect the price of your prom and senior trip! If you need another order form, stop down to Ms. Hoffman’s room.

Attention – those interested in applying for Student Council for the 2015-2016 school year applications are now available in Mrs. Anderson’s room C-4. Applications will be due on Monday, May 11th at 4pm to her classroom or mailbox. See Mrs. Anderson or Mrs. Baese with questions.

The Astronomy Club will meet NEXT Wednesday 5/13 for the final time this year. See Mr. Martin with any questions..

There will be a meeting for anyone interested in playing girls basketball next year at 7:40 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13th in the Community Room. Anyone in 8th grade through 11th grade should plan on attending. Summer schedules will be handed out at that time. For any questions, please contact Coach Cunningham
