FFA members that are selling Fruits & Nuts, these orders are due Thursday. There are no exceptions or extensions on the orders as we are tallying the items Sunday afternoon. There is a zebra print basket in Ms. Hoffman’s room to put your orders in.
Congrats to the sophomores who were this years boy’s volleyball champs. They defeated the seniors first in a close 3 set game. They then got by the juniors in the finals in 2 sets. The juniors defeated the freshman in a close 3 set game. In the consolation game the freshman beat the seniors in 3 sets. Thanks for all those who participated.
Next Model UN meeting is this Wednesday at 7:40 A.M., Those wishing to go to the first meet need to attend, or see Mr. Belill by the end of the day Wednesday. Resolutions are due to Mr. Belill by Monday Nov. 23rd.
Astronomy Club will have its first meeting of the year Wednesday right after school until 4:00 in E-11. Anyone is welcome to attend. See Mr. Martin if you have questions!
For anyone attending the CMU college visit next Thursday, November 19, please attend the mandatory informational meeting immediately after school in the high school cafeteria Tuesday, November 17. The meeting should take no more than 10 minutes. If you cannot attend the meeting, you must see me Tuesday during the day in student services so I can give you the necessary information.
The Student Council’s Canned Food Drive is underway. Bring in cans or other non-perishable food items to the cafeteria to donate throughout the next week. Each food item is worth a point. You can also bring in money – each dollar is worth a point. Between the high school and middle school, the school that collects the most points by next Thursday gets to decide which principal gets a pie in the face – Mr. Tokar or Mr. Barton. There will be some other ways for our building to earn points. There will be hat days beginning tomorrow through next Thursday. If you want to wear a hat, it is $1 a day. And, the Student Council will be selling items during lunch next week. Tuesday they will have ice cream for $1, Wednesday will be chili cheese fries & chili cheese dogs for $2, and Thursday will be a bake sale with cotton candy for $1. The final pep assembly for the Canned Food Drive will be next Thursday, November 19 during seventh hour. Thanks to everyone for the support and helping to make a difference!
The journalism staff’s candy fundraiser is underway. If you sell 12 items you get a free yearbook and a five pound bag of gummy bears for yourself. If you can’t sell 12, every item you sell still gives you $3 towards the cost of your yearbook. The order forms are due back November 23 and candy will be delivered the week of December 14. Students interested in Science Olympiad: There is a sign up sheet outside Mr. Topping’s room. There will be an informational meeting next week.
Patches will be ordered for those cross country state qualifiers and football playoff qualifiers. If you are interested in ordering a patch the cost is $15 and should be to Mrs. Latz before Thanksgiving.
