This movie is about a poor boy named Nikolas who sets out on an adventure in the snowy north in search of his father who is on a quest to find a magical village of elves called Elfhelm. Nikolas takes his best friend the pet mouse with him on the adventure and picks up a reindeer on the way he names Blitzen. Throughout the movie, Nikolas finds out his true destiny in life. This movie is a good Christmas movie to watch with many people, youngsters or even by yourself. You will enjoy the movie no matter where you are or who you are with. The director/executive producers of this movie are Gil Kenan, Graham Broadbent and Peter Czernin. The main cast of the movie includes Maggie Smith, Michiel Huisman, Kristen Wiig, Sally Hawkins and Henry Lawfull.

Rotten Tomatoes gave this movie an 86% and it describes this movie as light, playful, warm, entertaining and unpretentious. I give this movie a 95% because I really enjoyed watching it and I think everybody else will too. There are some sad and upsetting parts in the movie but that is where they keep you locked in. I recommend watching this movie whenever you have the free time before Christmas. A perfect movie to watch on Christmas eve with your family.
