Varsity Boys Basketball team played New Lothrop on Friday, January 7th at Home and ended up securing the win against the Hornets 54-42. Ovid Elsies Axel Newel led the team throughout the game finishing with 17 points, plenty coming from Newel cherry picking, junior Clay Wittenburg had 12 points both players did well at rebounding. Seniors Dylan Carman and Adam Barton were also solid scorers throughout the game. Ty Kohleman carried the Hornets this game, but unfortunately it was enough to beat the Marauders. Ovid is now 6-0 looking to keep up their undefeated season playing next on Tuesday, January 11th at Montrose High School. Freshman Axel Newel left us with a quote heading into the Marauders next game, “We the best, none the less.”
