The Ovid-Elsie JV Girls Basketball team defeated Byron Thursday night to move their record to 8-2 (6-0 MMAC) with a 28-12 win. The lady Marauders overcame a rough 1st half but finished out the game strong. Aubrey Kurka led all scorers with 8 points, and Haylee Palus and Katie Thornton added 6 points each. “It wasn’t the step forward we wanted,” Head Coach Brandon Belill said, “But beyond that we came back in the second half, corrected our mistakes and finished on a stronger note.” The Lady Marauders are back in action Tuesday night at Perry High School at 5:30.
