The Ovid-Elsie Girls Varsity Basketball team became conference champions after defeating Mt. Morris 67-22 last Friday night. The Marauders remain undefeated 17-0 (13-0 MMAC). The last conference title for the Girls Varsity team was held by the 1984 team. O-E opened the game with a 26-3 lead in the first quarter and followed it up with 23-4 in the second quarter leaving them at 49-7 at the half. Sophomore Evalyn Cole had a career high of 17 points and 7 steals, as well as 5 rebounds and 3 assists. Ava Bates added 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. The Marauders hosted Auburn Hills Oakland Christian on Monday and ended with a score of 54-49.
