The Ovid-Elsie Girls Varsity Basketball team’s season came to an end last night, Tuesday March 8th against Frankenmuth(21-2) with a score of 55-38. Frankenmuth will advance to take on Saginaw Swan Valley Thursday night at Frankenmuth for the title in Regional Finals. Ava Bates led the Marauders with 10 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 steals. Evalyn Cole added 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists. Senior Caitlyn Walter had 8 points including two 3 pointers, beating her previous single season three-point record by two. Walter’s record is now 45 3-point makes in a season. Congratulations to these girls for an outstanding season with many records broken.
