Tjoc is a Five Nights at Freddy’s fan game that was created by the game developer Nikson (Nicodemo Sitá). This game has had reworks and remakes over these past years and they all have turned out incredibly well. The game from what they were back then was a huge step up for horror games they had back then. The first ever rendition of Tjoc was a classic sit and survive game just like the original fnaf he made and uploaded the game in gamejolt in nov 30th 2015 but later on in 2016 he took the game down and rereleased it in april 17th 2016 was when the game went from sit & survive to freeroam it would have 4 different levels in the game each having the player face against a different character in a different map with the same objective find 10 objects this game was later titled as TJOCR (the joy of creation reborn).
This game was basically the start of his journey through making a really good five nights at Freddy’s fan game. The game as I stated before was that the game gave you 4 levels. During this time frame this game was out everyone noticed how the characters resembled the withered animatronics but they looked more broken than before. When selecting we figure out that the characters are called the Ignited animatronics because they were burnt in a fire but now they roam in the house of the character you play as. At the time reborn was out there wasn’t a story for what it was, however he kept the game up but released Tjoc Story mode which added in different kinds of levels but actually had a story.
The game itself was brought on to be something that was difficult but scary and very good. The game has you playing in the eyes of Scott Cawthon and his family defending against burnt and broken versions of his own creations. In this game there were 5 levels: the bedroom, the living room, the office, the basement, and the attic. Each one had you play as different characters. Around this time Scott saw many fangames and found this game and praised it for how well made it was so he created the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative which allowed fnaf fan games scott approved of to become there full own series and have mobile ports console ports and ect which nikson was accepted into it. The best part was that it became canon within the storylines of the games. Later on in 2024 Nikson decided to remake the whole game to revamp it by adding on more to the story and making it look even better in the graphic design part within the game. He took the Office level of the game, finished the remake and released it to the public as a demo for everyone to play. I myself decided to play the demo because it recently got an update so I came to play it.
Within the game you’re put in with one instruction page and it tells the player to “flash him with the light at the door he is seen at in the cameras”. The text is colored brown which tells us as the player that “him” is Freddy which I think is cool doesn’t tell us the characters name and who it is its color coded freddy = brown, bonnie = blue, chica = yellow, and foxy = red. Learning is the key point of this game. I think it’s cool because most games ive played demo or not have always given me a tutorial which isn’t bad but overused. This game is a trial&error kind of playstyle which is a good way to break off from the same style as other games.
When I look at the designs of the surroundings and the characters I’m just amazed because they actually look burnt now instead of just having black spots on them and darker color you can see the paint of the suits has faded away and how the suits have even melted a bit. The attention to detail is very good and is what is needed to make this game look even cooler. The ambience sound within this game also makes it so when wearing headphones that support 360 sound you will hear from all around the room. In my first play through of the game I found Freddy on the left side using the light to flash him makes him mad it scared me so badly and I thought i died but I dint when you die you either get stunned for 5 seconds or you do die and have to restart its your simple sit and survive but you can get up and roam a bit within the office.
Another mechanic I find interesting is the use of charging the flashlight you have to also find fuses
around the room to keep the lights on and the power on but charging your flashlight will drain some of your fuses life which is good because it makes the player have to think and strategize when to charge and to know where the fuse is. This game overall is such high quality and would be a game I myself would play again in my own time.
Consumers such as myself when looking for a game we categorize it into 4 categories: Quality, Quantity, Price, and Genre. TJOC fulfills these categories perfectly in all great ways. It has great quality and a good quantity not too small or too big just right , price is great, it’s a free game and as for genre horror and people love the horror genre. I found this game to be everything I really ever wanted in a FNAF game or fan game and it does it perfectly.
