Call of Duty Black Ops 2 is out and we got our hands on it. For a Call of Duty game, the graphics are the best we have seen in any Call of Duty game. The campaign is actually a really good campaign. The setting goes between the year 2025 and the Cold War (1970’s). In the Cold War missions, you play as Alex Mason. In the missions in 2025, you play as Alex Mason’s son, David Mason. The main antagonist of the story is Raul Menendez.

In the Cold War missions, you have real weapons like the AK-47, FAL and other weapons that the military uses today. The 2025 missions have weapons that are not real like the M8A1 Assault Rifle, M1216 Shotgun, HAMR Light Machine Gun, XPR-50 Sniper Rifle, CHICOM CQB Sub Machine Gun and more. One addition to the campaign is the Strike Force Missions. In these, there are certain objectives that you must complete in the time allowed, which is usually ten minutes. You can do these missions in the normal first person mode or in overwatch mode. In overwatch mode, the game plays like a command and control game. I would suggest to play them in first person mode. It will be a lot easier to complete the objectives.

Multiplayer was not that different from other Call of Duty games. The addition of Quadrotors, CLAWS and other futuristic technology makes the game a little more fun. The addition to multiplayer is Shoutcasting. This allows you to watch matches that are happening and narrate them and record that narration.

Zombie mode is terrible. There are three modes of play. Survival puts you against limited waves of zombies. There is a limit of 40 or so waves. In Tranzit mode, you ride in a bus and fight zombies as they climb into the bus. Grief mode is basically a competitive mode. It puts four teams of four or less people against each other and against hordes of zombies. The problem is that it only take the player 2 hits from a zombie and the player is dead. Other than that it is a decent Call of Duty game, but is not a huge improvement. Now, the only reason most people will buy this game is for the Zombies mode. Well, play the campaign. Its is really good.
