Drama Class Works Out Virtual Kinks

Starting on Wednesday, Nov. 18th, Ovid-Elsie High School will be completely virtual until Dec. 10th. This being said, the Drama class taught by Mrs. Mandy Bashore will have a few changes made. They will be using Google Meet to rehearse their play the best they can.

Bashore said, “We have been meeting and rehearsing virtually since I have been homesick and the students have been great!”

The students have an idea of how things will be running since Bashore has been sick but there are some new concerns. Bashore has 33 students in her class that she has to think about.

“My biggest concerns are all the separate internet connections, trying to get costumes to people and students being diligent to our timeline.”

The students and everyone involved with the play have worked so hard and will continue working towards being performance ready. Changes regarding the performance include it being virtual.

“Our play is virtual so we will use this time the best we can! The show must go on!”

This year has brought many challenges for drama and other classes. Bashore is determined to make everything work and give the students the chance to show off what they have been working on since the start of the school year.
