The Cure’s Faith Reflects Founding Goth Rock

Faith (The Deluxe Edition)  by The Cure was released on April 14th, 1981. There are 24 tracks on the album. The Cure has released 13 studio albums and over 30 singles. Some of their other albums are The Head on the Door, Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me, Disintegration, and Wish.

My favorite songs on the album Faith (The Deluxe Edition)  are ‘Charlotte Sometimes’, ‘The Drowning Man’, ‘The Holy Hour’, ‘Doubt’, ‘Faith’, and ‘The Funeral Party’.  I wouldn’t recommend this album if you prefer fast paced music. However, if you enjoy goth music you would likely enjoy this album.

The Cure was one of the first gothic rock bands along with Siouxsie and the Banshees, Joy Division, and Bauhaus. The Cure started making gothic rock music with their second album Seventeen Seconds (1980).
