The golf team at Ovid-Elsie is gearing up to get their season started. This year many new faces have joined the team, surprisingly a majority of them are seniors. The returners this season are looking to have their best seasons yet, Micheal Bancroft and Easton Keck are both looking to compete in regionals and even qualify for the state tournament.
Tayton Kline is also gearing up for a great season, he has come close to winning a handful of matches last season, so hopefully he can stay hot. Some newcomers include Nolan Rasch and Chaycen Thornton who could get some matches under their belt. Brady Latz is an up and coming freshman who will also probably see some play in matches, however he is young and has some work to do.
Ryker Parson has made huge strides when it comes to his ball striking in the off season. He has gotten a lot more consistent and has developed some better decision making skills. Combine that with his major distance, he could be a force to be reckoned with when he is on his A game.
It should be a great season for the Marauders, however some tough league opponents like Chesaning and Birch Run will be great tests for them. Many JV kids might have to step up in clutch moments down the line. It should be a great season for everyone involved, everyone is excited to see how they perform.
