I think that in the end Rick Santorum saved himself a bad mark on his name by dropping out of the presidential race. He should have came out with it at the beginning when he told everyone that he was dropping out of the race because of his daughter having surgery. While the talk about his daughter being in surgery wasn’t a lie, a later rumor was circled that Santorum ran out of money. Whether this is true I don’t know. Even after this little problem I still haven’t lost respect for the former Pennsylvanian senator.

The main reasons he dropped out was because his daughter was getting sick. He took several days off to take care of his sick daughter, Bella. She suffers from Trisomy 18, a condition which kills 90% of children at birth. She was diagnosed with pneumonia, causing Santorum to take his brief suspension.

“Against all odds, we won 11 states, millions of voters, millions of votes,” he said.

With all this said I think that we will see Rick Santorum again in the future.
