Ovid-Elsie Marching Band participated in the annual MSBOA Marching Band Festival earning straight 2s for their performance. Band Teacher Jeanine ignash said that they received a 2 overall last year and this year they also received straight 2’s.

The event took place in Owosso on the Willman Field on Sept. 7th. Their performance time was at 5:45 pm.

They participate in the annual Marching Festival because it’s one time a year when schools all over the state come together and perform in front of other school and teacher Jeanine Ignash wants the band to be a part of it. 

There were 14 bands from different districts that participated in marching festival. Compared to the other schools that participated, we were one of the smaller bands there due to our school being small. The Band was rated on the songs Dream On, Old Time Rock N Roll and Sweet Home Alabama.
