OE High School Band Earns Ones
March 11, 2020
On Saturday February 29th, the Ovid-Elsie High School and Middle School concert bands traveled to Perry High School to compete in the District Band Festival. The middle school band played at 9:20 a.m. and the high school played at 1:25 p.m.
Bands are rated on a I-V scale, in five different categories by three different judges. The band gets a total of six scores, one being the overall score, one for site reading, one for overall concert score, and one for each of the judges.
The middle school got straight ones, and the high school got all ones, except for one two from judge 2. Both bands got an overall score of I.
Although the bands missed their pre-festival performance, they did great at their festival.
