Luckiest Girl Alive Comes Out on Netflix

Megean Boles, Staff writer

In September Netflix  announced that the movie Luckiest Girl Alive was going to be released. On Oct. 7th the movie w came out on Netflix. The movie is 1h 53m. It is about a writer’s perfectly crafted New York City life that unravels when a true-crime documentary forces her to confront her harrowing high school history and question the choices she made as a teenager.  The movie is rated R for graphic depictions of sexual and school violence. The movie is rated this way because the main charter Milena Kunis was part of a gang rape and a deadly school shooting and they are both shown with many details throughout the movie. Some of the other actors are Finn Wittrock, Chiara Aurelia and Justine Lupe also Thomas Barbusca. I would not recommend this movie for younger kids I would recommend it for people old enough and are mature. It is nothing for younger people to see because it are thing that are wrong but it’s also based of true events because thing like that can happen to anyone. Overall, it was a good movie, if you don’t watch the whole movie at once you might get confused but if you watch all the way through from start to finish you will understand it and will enjoy it.  According to the people on Rotten Tomatoes, some think that the movie takes thing that seem like they would be a different amount of episodes or series but there not it’s just in one movies.  People of Rotten Tomatoes give it a 2.5/5 for their review. I would give the movie a ? because the movie is good and but a little confusing and you can easily get lost with what the point of the movie is or why the event take place when they do because most of them just happen randomly.  The director of the movie is Mike Barker. The writer is Jessica Knoll. The overall genre of the movie is crime and drama.
