Mrs. Weber has re-opened the window to apply to be a member of this year’s Snow Sculpting Team. Applications are only available until 3 P.M. this Friday. Pick them up in the art room. Any student comfortable building or creating in three dimensions is encouraged to apply!

There will be no open shooting in the gym this Friday after school.

Attention junior and senior girls that played in the powderpuff game: please turn in your jersey to Mrs. Russell.

Seniors: if you need to work on your college application or scholarships you may use the Information Center during your lunch to do so.

Freshman and juniors: please pay your class dues this week to a class officer during both first and second lunches Monday-Friday. Dues are $7 if paid on time. They are $9 if they are paid after the deadline. Juniors, also remember that all of your years of class dues must be up-to-date if you want to attend prom.

Any junior that is interested in signing up to take the PSAT test please sign up in Student Services. The PSAT is the pre-SAT test. This test will be given on Wednesday, October 15.

The varsity volleyball team lost to Morrice last night in four sets with scores of 20-25, 25-19, 17-25 and 18-25. Morgan Martin and Lacey Micka each had 2 aces, Logan Trefil had 10 assists and 15 digs. Megan Walter had 5 blocks and six kills. Kamryn Gasche also chipped in with six kills. The girls are back in action today at Freeland.

The boys cross country team competed in the third and final TVC Central meet on October 7 at Saginaw Swan Valley. They came in third place in TVC. The Marauders ran their best race of the year finishing third in the conference with a score of 88. Shepherd won the meet with 47 points, and Bullock Creek 2nd with 55 points, and the Marauders followed with 88 points. Scoring for the Marauders were Gage Cleveland in 8th with a time of 17:18, Ty Pardee in 10th with a time of 17:32, Dakota Pfeiffer 18th with a time of 18:16, Josh Peckens 26th with a time of 18:37, and Alex Garber 28th with a time of 18:48.The team will compete this Saturday at the Greater Lansing Invitational on Saturday, October 11th at Grand Ledge. Gage Cleveland and Ty Pardee earned 2nd team all league honors finishing 9th and 14th overall. Gage Cleveland, Dakota Pfeiffer, Josh Peckens, Alex Garber, Philip Olafsen, and Michael Yockey all had career bests.
