Anyone wanting to order a patch for a TVC Championship, District or Regional Championship may do so by ordering one through Mrs. Latz. The cost is $15 and must be paid when ordering. Orders will be taken until June 4th.

If you see Marcos Pena in the hallways, please give him well wishes. Marcos has to return to Spain on Monday to take the country’s university exam and regrets having to leave early. He’ll miss out on graduation and the end of the year activities, so give him a hug or hand shake and wish him well.

Students who went to prom- Please make sure you pick up your prom glass in E-1. Please wait for someone to give the glass to you. We’ve been having issues with them being damaged and we want to make sure you get a high-quality prom gift. Class officers or minions will be in E-1 to help.

The Boys Track & Field Team placed 7th in the TVC Track & Field Championships. Dakota Pfeiffer was 2nd in the 400. The 800 Relay of Alex Wakefield, Isaiah Medina, Jack Price and Alex Garber were 4th and Gage Cleveland was 4th in the 3200.

Boy and Girl Track & Field Team members and Varsity Volleyball Team members get your permission slips to Mr. Long today after school out at the track. They will not be accepted tomorrow.

Seniors going on the Cedar Point trip: A reminder is being brought to you today with important information on it. If you did not get yours by 3:00 pm, see Mrs. Horak in the counseling office. It looks like it’s going to be a nice day and we’re looking forward to taking you south for a day of FUN!
Any senior who would still like to go on the Cedar Point trip, there are a few spots available to go.

Juniors- Make sure you voted either yesterday or today for your senior trip options. Ballots are with your English teacher. Some students may have been absent because of the schedule, so if you didn’t get one make sure you do. It only takes 30 seconds to do so. Today and tomorrow during both lunches you are voting for the Class of 2016 class officers for your senior year. Junior class officers will be in the cafeteria with ballots to vote.

Be sure to wish BJ Knickerbocker and Zach Morris the best of luck as they travel this evening to Virginia Beach to compete on team Michigan against the very best high school wrestlers across the nation. There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, May 27th after school at 3:15 in the cafeteria for any girls interested in sideline and competitive cheerleading next year. The meeting should last 15-30 minutes. For any girls who are not able to make the meeting but are interested in cheer, please contact Coach Katie directly.

Seniors who are attending college/trade school in the fall, make sure you stop down to Student Services to sign up to have your final transcript sent to your college and request it on parchment as well. Mrs. Horak will have those sent out by the middle of June.

If you were unable to attend the girls basketball meeting Wednesday you need to contact Coach Cunningham as soon as possible. Also, if you have a basketball from the coaches’ office, please return it by next Friday, May 22.

Class of 2016: Ballots to run as a class officer will be available for pick-up in Ms. Blank’s room during both lunches on Thursday, May 21. Ballots must be completed and in to either her or Ms. Batora by Wednesday, May 20 at 11:30A.M. Class officer and a senior activities election will be held both Thursday and Friday, May 21 and May 22.

Central Driving School will be offering a Segment I driver education class beginning on Monday, June 8, 2015. The class will be held at Leonard Elementary School in Ovid from 8-10 A.M. Packets are available in the office.

The OE Student Challenge will meet this Thursday at 7:00 am. in room C-14 of the high school. A breakfast will be provided.

Any current 9th-11th grade student interested in playing golf next year, please meet in Coach Longstreth’s room in the middle school on Friday, May 22 at 7:45 in the morning.

Seniors who have signed up for the Cedar Point trip next Wednesday, May 27th, if you haven’t put in your final payment, please do so by this Friday, May 22nd.

The student journalism staff has some reminders for you:

First, yearbook sales are wrapping up. The cost of the book is $70. All orders are due by Friday, May 22.

Seniors: also remember to get your senior photos and money in for the yearbook. Those are also due this Friday, May 22.

And finally, DVDs of the senior video and graduation ceremony are on sale for $15. Cash or checks made out to Ovid-Elsie Yearbook will be accepted. Please see Mr. Whiting in Middle School room 115 to place your orders or turn in any of those items.

Prom goers, don’t forget the following: If you want extra photos from Lifetouch you need to bring cash, check, money order, or a credit card with you to pay Lifetouch at Prom. The portrait package flyer with prices was put in your envelope with your prom ticket. Also, don’t forget your prom ticket and lock. Remember, you need to decorate and put your name on the lock as it will be put on a gate when you enter the prom venue. Prom starts at 6:00; you may start arriving after 5:30. Lifetouch will start taking photos at 6:00. There is valet parking, so be patient as you wait in line to enter the University Club and have your vehicle parked.

Attention seniors: please get your class dues paid. Class dues need to be paid before you can purchase your prom tickets or before you graduate. See Mrs. Horak in Student Services. There is a list of who has paid and what is due outside her office.

OE FFA is teaming up with Perry FFA to go to Michigan Adventure on June 8th. If you are interested in going on the trip, it’s the Monday after school is out, stop down to Ms. Hoffman’s room to sign up. The cost will be $30/person. That covers the charter bus, your ticket to the park and lunch.

Attention all NHS members: The next large group meeting will take place this Friday, April 17th at 7:30 in the community room. Reminder slips will be passed out today with several important details. Please read carefully through these and see Mrs. Laurencelle with any questions.
