Spring Sports seasons are right around the corner and OE Varsity Boys Track and Field is one of them. Ovid-Elsie last year sent four athletes to the State Meet; those athletes were Beau Price, Clay Wittenberg, Alexis Spitzley, Tryce Tokar. This year, we have Tryce Tokar who is a 2x state champion in Pole Vault and helps the team largely by winning Pole Vault at every meet.
The team last year completed well in the conference finishing behind Chesaning who has won it a lot in the past few years, but hopefully this year with the new freshmen we picked up we can finally beat Chesaning and win the conference. Some freshmen with good potential are Travis Milner, Marshall Leavitt, and a few others. Milner competes in mid-distance events like the 400 and 800 meter runs and Leavitt does longer distances like the Mile and Two Mile.
Overall, the Ovid-Elsie boys track team is looking really solid this year and is set to compete at a really high level and hopefully win a conference title and send more athletes and possibly the team to States.
