With the golf team swinging into action,  senior Cohen Browndecided to catch
up with some of the players to get their expectations for the season. The golf team, made up of eight members, half of whom are seniors,  has
large expectations to have a positive and bright season.
Senior Braydon Kelley was asked a few questions pertaining to
his upcoming season. When asked the question “What are your thoughts and
expectations for the season” Kelly responded with “I expect to win a few school
matches but the competition is tough and the team is young but if we are hungry and
have the marauder mentality then we can win.”
Sophomore Michael Bancroft was asked why his passion is so high for the sport of golf and his
answer did not disappoint. When given that specific question Michael stated “ Because I
want to follow in the footsteps of my brother. He left big footprints in the ground and its
my job to follow those footprints and make them bigger.”
The 2024 OvidElsie golf team is filled with talented athletes that are excited and
hungry to go out on to the golf course and play the game from their heart.
