The pandemic has taken its toll on the fall area football season. On Nov. 13 Pewamo-Westphalia had to forfeit the rest of their 2020 varsity football season due to COVID-19. Pewamo (7-2) was on track to play against the New Lothrop Hornets in the semi finals game which is still to be announced to move on to the finals and play at ford field.
With this forfeit this will advance the Ithaca Yellow Jackets (9-0) to the next round and play the winner of the Cass City and Hemlock game on Nov 13.
Portland (8-2) also had to forfeit the rest of their 202 football season which sent Grand Rapids Catholic Central to the next round.
